Can you feel the suspense thickening in Chapter 6? Yesterday, we discussed how Daniel was able to lead the other boys to safety because he was taught survival skills from his uncle. The author of this book, Gary Paulsen, is also an expert in survival and extends his expertise into his stories. It seems that we are off on another outdoor adventure with our canine friends. In Chapter 2, Rachel talks about the Iditarod, a famous dog-sled race that takes place in Alaska.
