Greenbrook Cycle 4 Projects

Cycle 4 focused on Language Arts & Communication.  Third grade students were asked to pick out their favorite novel.  They then identified the story elements of this book, which included setting, main characters, problem/solution, main events, and failed attempts to solve the problem.  Students also learned about the theme and mood of a story and identified these of their book.

After seeing some Animoto examples, students discussed the different purposes for writing.  They concluded that the purpose of a Movie or Book Trailer is to inform, entertain, and persuade.  Students then took the story elements of their favorite book and used Animoto to create a book trailer!

We hope you enjoy the trailers and that you are persuaded to read some of our favorite books!
