This past weekend our very own Concert Band and Treble Choir both earned first place in their divisions and a superior rating at the Music in the Parks Competition. I am very proud of you all. Congratulations again!!

Here is our third piece for the Spring Concert Season. How would you describe the style of this piece? Is it different than the other music what we have played so far this year? What difficulties do you see our group having with this work?
With great power comes great responsibility…..
You all have experienced the awesome power of this piece. Now pay close attention to the dynamics of this recording and see how it adds to the excitement to the piece. Dynamics make the audience more interested in the work and gives it far more power than just playing loud. Comment on whether you hear it or not. Do you agree that it makes it more exciting?

Dear Concert Band 2008-2009 Members,
Thank you all for a wonderful year. It has been my pleasure to watch you all develop and grow as musicians this year. Thank you for your amazing performances at the winter concert, spring concert, and Hershey Park festival. Thank you for all the morning rehearsals. Even though they started early, time and time again you showed me your dedication and professionalism. I will miss this group next year and it has been an amazing journey. Have a great summer and keep checking the blog!
