Lessons Next Week

Thursday, February 24th, 2011

This is just a reminder that we are a few weeks into the marking period and only a handful of students have come in for a lesson. It’s in your best interest to come in for a lesson earlier rather than later, since the lesson groups are typically very large at the end of the semester! Also, violins and violas need to be going home EVERY DAY or else they should be left in my office. Almost everyone is adhering to this rule, but there are still instruments that are left outside of the office in the mornings. Please take them home! Without further ado, here is the lesson schedule for next week:

Monday February 28
A, B and C Lunch – This is one of the few times where I can stay through C lunch, so take advantage of this opportunity!

Before school on Monday and Friday. You don’t need to arrive at 7am, but any time before 7:10am is acceptable.

Chamber Orchestra Folks,

Here are the promised videos of the last 3 movements of the Capriol Suite. We’ll be working on the 6th movement during Wednesday’s class.

Deleted Post – Chamber Orchestra 2011

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone received an email containing the names of some of the musicians accepted into next year’s chamber orchestra. I immediately took down the posting because the blog is in the public domain, and it’s best to protect our privacy! If you received the email, there are still 3 names underneath the last name listed. The list is also posted on my office door, and all students still need to meet with me before scheduling their classes for next year! Sorry for any inconvenience or heart attacks!

String Orchestra Members:

Here is the link to our newest piece for the semester. It would be a great idea to follow along with your music while listening to the recording, and see how your instrument fits in with all of the others. Happy listening!
