This is a friendly reminder that our first evening rehearsal will take place next Wednesday November 2nd from 7:00pm – 8:45pm.

Hi Everyone,

This message contains information for musicians from both ensembles.

Spotify – I’ve talked about this program many times in class, and it’s what I have been using to play various recordings throughout the year. Spotify gives you access to virtually any song that has been recorded. Think of it as the itunes library, except you can listen to entire songs instead of short previews. Download the free program for your desktop/laptop here.

Lessons – I will be having lessons during all 3 lunches on Monday October 24th. Remember to eat your lunch before coming to see me, and you need to show your lesson pass to a teacher or monitor in order to leave the cafeteria.

Chamber Orchestra – Listen to my favorite recording of the Vaughn Williams Fantasia on Spotify here. You need to have the program on your computer in order to listen to the track. You can also listen to an excellent recording made by the Philadelphia Orchestra below:

Listen to a recording of the 3rd movement of the Simple Symphony through Spotify by clicking here. You can also watch a very good performance of the 3rd and 4th movement below.

String Orchestra

Arabian Dreams can be heard here.

Individual practice parts can be printed by following the links below:

Enjoy the weekend, and practice what we talked about in class!
