2B/3A String Orchestra combined rehearsal and Orchestra “Party” for Everyone

Sunday, April 29th, 2012

String Orchestra

2B and 3A String orchestras will be meeting after school on MONDAY May 7 from 2:45pm-4:00pm. This will be our first of two after school rehearsals. The second will be announced during class. This rehearsal is not optional, and you must speak with me BEFORE the rehearsal if you have a school-related conflict.

Orchestra Party

Even though I don’t like the word “party,” we’ll be having an orchestra “party” immediately following the combined string orchestra rehearsal on Monday the 7th of May. We will be meeting in the annex cafeteria from 4pm-5pm, and EVERYONE who is enrolled in an orchestra class is invited (not just string orchestra). More details will be given in class, but mark the date on your calendar!

Orchestra next week

Friday, January 27th, 2012

Hi Everyone,

Congratulations to most of you for finishing your midterm/playing tests! I’m sure it has been a stressful week for many of you, so hopefully you can look forward to relaxing a little bit this weekend. I have a few reminders for the upcoming week.

- You are all expected to bring instruments to your first class next week!

- Let’s not forget about Durango Tango (string orchestra) and the rest of the Holberg (Chamber orchestra). Get a head start on practicing this weekend.

- ¬†Quartets are meeting every thursday. You are expected to attend every week (even if it’s after another club).

I have a video that Kristen H shared with me. I think it’s pretty cool. Check it out and enjoy the weekend!
