The Blue Bird Practice Tracks

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

We need to learn this one quick. There are only about six weeks of practice left. You can practice at home by clicking on your voice part. Once you are solid on your part, try it with the full practice track.

I have altered the original arrangement to meet the needs of our boy’s voices, so please follow my arrangement.

It was too much memory I guess, so I had to post a separate one for this.

Please listen to the file marked with your voice part to learn your parts from home. This is just the chorus.

After singing with the track for your voice part several times, then try to sing your part with the others in the track marked “Full”.

Have fun!

Fiddlin’ Jamboree 3/18

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Take a listen to our progress so far. Ladies are doing a fine job with pitch and enunciation. Gentleman are not far behind. It falls apart a bit when we add stomps, claps, etc. It still needs a bit of work on the rhythmic precision. What do you think? Wait til we add the fiddles! (AKA violins). Nice job Miriam (piano)!

Over the Rainbow Soprano Alto 3/17 SAB 3/18

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Girls, have a listen to your sectional rehearsal. It is pretty good so far. Watch the measure with “Chimney tops”. Alto’s need to watch pitch, especially after the key change. This last page has some incorrect pitches. What else can we improve on? Your comments are welcome!

I like the blend and balance. Keep up the amazing work ladies!

How do we all sound together? Boys are getting many correct pitches, but need to be a bit more gentle, especially on notes from middle C and higher.
